Who is he?
Graduated in 1987 at University of Bologna, Faculty of Agricultural Science. In 90s he coordinated the first Italian Telematics projects in agriculture on Videotex and later on the Internet. His main working areas are systems analysis, information management & ICT for sustainable agriculture.
In 2000 he founded AltaVia srl, SME software company based in Italy where he has been chief manager of the green sector (Agriculture, Agro-industry and Environment). He has been involved as coordinator & partner in several national and EU-founded projects.
Gianfranco is an innovator and is challenged by large projects and advanced product in which human, organizational aspects are combined with technical aspects.

- Green IT expert in IT adoption in Agriculture, Agroindustry & Environment. He has led several IT projects in Italy most of them still running now. He has been involved in European partnerships.
